ChemConnect’s Chalkboard is a tool for serious trading. Along with the freedom to trade on the system aggressively, comes the responsibility to trade responsibly.
Your license agreement spells out the conditions under which ChemConnect’s Chalkboard may be used. Chalkboard is dedicated to maintaining the security and integrity of the trade information and trader anonymity. Take to heart the conditions of your license agreement, and use Chalkboard as it was designed to be used.
If you or a trader in your company makes an honest mistake, ChemConnect’s Chalkboard will work with you to resolve the problem. Simply call a Chalkboard Customer Service representative to explain and resolve the problem as soon as possible.
Sensitivity of ChemConnect’s Chalkboard Information
When you leave your desk, you should log off the ChemConnect’s Chalkboard trading system. Why? Chalkboard information is sensitive, confidential, and critical to you and other traders’ business. If you remain logged on while you are absent, Chalkboard is exposed to unauthorized access and potential abuse.
Your company is responsible for all transactions processed under your Chalkboard User ID.
A simple way to prevent exposing ChemConnect’s Chalkboard to potential misuse and unauthorized access is to simply activate the Key Lock feature on your computer.
You may do this by clicking on the CTRL+ALT+DELETE buttons on your computer’s keyboard. Then, click on the Lock Computer option on the Task Manager window. This automatically locks your keyboard and computer from any input on the Chalkboard trading system.
When you return to your computer, simply type in your network password and you will be able to trade on the Chalkboard system again.
Your company is responsible for all trading activity that occurs with your user ID. If you detect internal abuse of the trading privilege or anticipate a problem, call Chalkboard immediately at 1-800-CHALKBD (242-5523).
ChemConnect’s Chalkboard trading application will show you what is available in the market and facilitate your purchase or sale. You must follow through with the appropriate paperwork to ensure that you and the other trader have a completed deal.
You will receive a fax and/or an email based on your user profile to confirm all of your completed deals while using Chalkboard. Also, in the event that you may cancel a deal, you will receive a fax or an email confirming the deletion of such deal while using Chalkboard.
