Your company’s Chalkboard administrator is responsible for dealing with your company security and other internal details such as:
Your company’s traders who are authorized to use Chalkboard.
Your traders’ correct contact information, including e-mail addresses and fax numbers so that all traders will receive deal confirmations in a timely manner.
The trading partners with whom your traders are authorized to conduct business and the scope of the deal (physical or financial) as well as the credit restrictions on such transactions.
The administrator can withdraw ALL of your company’s positions from the live market. In addition, the company administrator and individual traders within your company may view the Trader Names for any orders posted by a trader in his/her company. The ChemConnect’s Chalkboard Administration Section 3 contains detailed procedures on maintaining all of this information.
Guidelines for ChemConnect’s Chalkboard Administrator
As companies are added to ChemConnect’s Chalkboard trading application, the company administrator will be notified by the ChemConnect Message Center at the time of logging onto Chalkboard. In addition, the Credit Settings window has a dropdown option to view NEW COMPANIES.
Companies new to Chalkboard will appear automatically in your list of trading partners. The Physical and Financial credit settings for both the Sell To and Buy From columns will default to “NO” (meaning no trading allowed). Also, the Months (Terms) credit settings will default to Current (meaning only current month deals can be completed).
We suggest you review the partners list daily to determine who has registered with Chalkboard and you can then immediately establish trading restrictions for each new company. Your traders cannot trade with companies until they have been enabled by the company administrator.
