Determine Browser Version and Service Pack

1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer

2. Select "Help" from the top menu.

3. Select "About Internet Explorer" from the "Help" menu.

4. The version number is located directly below the Microsoft Internet Explorer logo.
   
   Ex: "Version: 6.0.2800.1106" is Internet Explorer 6.0

5. The Service Pack number is located just above the scrolling text box and to the right of "Update Versions".
   
   Ex: Service Pack 1 will appear as: "Update Versions:;SP1;".
   Ex: Service Pack 2 will appear as: "Update Versions:;SP2;".

If your version begins "Version: 6.0" and you see "SP1" and no other SP indications in the Update Versions: area, then you are at risk.

Note: It is possible to not have a Service Pack number at all, signaling that your specific version has not been previously updated.
